With the MOBILE Genesis period in full swing, it's more important than ever to ensure your 5G gateway and radios are up and running and to be aware of any issues you might be experiencing. Bobcat has been hard at work implementing solutions that will allow you to quickly and easily see the status and earnings of your Helium 5G Setup. The following monitoring tools will also work if you have a FreedomFi gateway instead of the Bobber 500!

Bobber App

Since the Bobber App added 5G monitoring capability for both Freedomfi and Bobber 500 gateways, we have now also enabled remote radio monitoring for any Baicells or Mosolabs radios connected to the gateways.

After logging in and deep linking to a Helium wallet from the Bobber app, users can view the web dashboard either from the Bobber app or from directly (using the same username and password used to sign into the Bobber App). Aside from radio heartbeat, gateway speed test and latency information, a few radio-specific data points are also now available remotely from the Bobber dashboard:

Number of Radios
Next to the heartbeat timestamp you will see how many radios have been detected on the gateway.

Total Daily Rewards
Next to the radio count widget you will see the total daily MOBILE tokens rewarded to all of your radios.

Radio IDs and Individual Radio Rewards
Without the Bobber App, you can still check your radio IDs by going into the radio dashboard locally via bobber-gateway.local and look for the Device Serial. But you have to be where the radios are (on the same local network).

The Bobber App will however, let you check this and more remotely. Click the "+" sign in front of the hotspot name to see more detailed radio information. You will see:
1. The full serial numbers of each radio
2. The radio type: indoor or outdoor
3. The last heartbeat timestamp from each radio
4. The daily MOBILE tokens received by each radio
This information will help you identify more easily if any of your radios are not working.

You can find the Bobber App on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store

Bobber Cloud

While most users find a mobile or app based experience more convenient, we also offer browser based monitoring via the Bobber Cloud website. All of the same information shown above in the Bobber App is available via any web browser on the Bobber Cloud website. Simply use the same username and password you use to sign into the Bobber App, or create an account if you don't have one already.

Helium Explorer

When viewing your 5G hotspot on the Helium Explorer, you can select the 5G Statistics tab to see valuable information on your setup.

Keep in mind that due to API delays the Helium Explorer may be slow to update and may not reflect real-time status of your equipment. For the most up-to-date status possible, use the local dashboards as shown in the next section.

Local Miner and Radio Dashboard

To view the real-time status of your gateway and attached radios, visit the local dashboard page. For users with Bobber 500 units, go to bobber-gateway.local using a web browser on a device connected to the same local network as your gateway. For users with FreedomFi units, the address will be freedomfi-gateway.local instead. For details on all information shown in the dashboards and assistance with accessing the dashboard if the above addresses don't work, check out our article on how to access and use the local dashboards.
