Red LED
A red light means your hotspot's Miner hasn’t started. The Helium Miner is a Docker process running on your Bobcat hotspot. If your miner’s LED appears red for less than 10 minutes, there is no reason to worry as this could have been caused by a restart following an OTA update. However, if the red light persists for several hours, there is a chance the Miner is stuck.
If the problem persists, use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to troubleshoot your miner:
1. Reboot and wait an hour. If the problem continues..
2. Reset and wait an hour.
If the problem continues, please create a ticket here. Make sure to include the following fields:
Subject Line: Hotspot’s LED is [INSERT COLOR]
Reason for Contact: Technical Support
Type of Issue: Miner Not Started
Yellow LED
A yellow light means that the hotspot's Miner has started but it is having trouble connecting to the internet. There is a chance this could have been caused by an OTA update, network disconnection, and/or some other network issue.
For network issues, please perform basic troubleshooting of your internet connection. Verify other devices are able to reach the internet. Try changing which Ethernet port your Bobcat is plugged into or connect it via Ethernet if it is currently connected via WiFi. Try rebooting both your Bobcat Miner and your router.
Type of Issue: Network Issue
White LED
A white light indicates the hotspot's firmware is being automatically updated via an OTA. This can take several minutes and the LED will go back to Green once the OTA update is complete. If your LED light is consistently white, check the Miner region inside miner.json using the Diagnoser. It could be that the region is ‘undefined’.
Use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to troubleshoot if the white light persists:
1. Reboot and wait an hour. If the problem continues..
2. Reset and wait an hour.
If the problem continues, please create a ticket here. Make sure to include the following fields:

Type of Issue: OTA Issue
Blue LED
A blue light means the hotspot's Bluetooth is in match mode. You can connect to Bluetooth and start a diagnosis. If your LED light is consistently blue, use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to troubleshoot your miner:
1. Reboot and wait an hour. If the problem continues..
2. Reset and wait an hour.
If the problem continues, please create a ticket here. Make sure to include the following fields:

Cyan LED
A cyan (i.e., a greenish blue color) light will require you to use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to troubleshoot your miner:
1. Reboot and wait an hour. If the problem continues..
2. Reset and wait an hour.
If the problem continues, please create a ticket here. Make sure to include the following fields:
Subject Line: Hotspot’s LED is [INSERT COLOR]
Reason for Contact: Technical Support
Type of Issue: Cyan Light - No Activity
NOTE: Please be prepared to submit a video showing the cyan light for 1 minute, the power
adapter properly connected to the device and plugged into an outlet, and the device connected
to a router via Ethernet for at least 3 minutes.
Interchanging or Cycling LED
If your miner’s LED is repeatedly interchanging between red and yellow, it is stuck in a reboot loop.
Use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to complete these steps:
1. Reboot and wait an hour. If the problem continues..
2. Reset and wait an hour.
If the problem continues, please create a ticket here. Make sure to include the following fields:
Subject Line: Hotspot’s LED is [INSERT COLOR]

Type of Issue: Reboot Loop
Black LED
The LED color cannot physically be black - this is a placeholder status in the Diagnoser and Bobber App for the LED being off or the device not reading the LED status. If the LED physically appears to be cyan/light blue, it may actually be off and simply appear to be cyan due to a blue LED on the LoRa module inside the miner.
Use one or more of the following features on the Bobcat Diagnoser to complete these steps:
1. Reboot and wait an hour. If the problem continues..
2. Reset and wait an hour.
If the problem continues, please create a ticket here. Make sure to include the following fields:
Subject Line: Hotspot’s LED is Black
Reason for Contact: Technical Support
Type of Issue: LED Issue
No LED or Not Lit
If your miner’s LED has no light, the miner is not receiving power. Test the outlet being used for your Bobcat Miner by plugging in your phone, laptop, or other device and checking the battery icon on your display to see if it’s charging or see if it powers on. If the outlet is providing power and you wish to test the power adapter, you can test continuity using a generic multimeter.

NOTE: Please be prepared to submit a video showing the power adapter is properly
connected to the device and plugged into an outlet for at least 1 minute.
