Unable to Retrieve Funds
Unfortunately, we not able to assist any customers that submitted payment with an incorrect token or network. As we did not receive the coins, we are unable to reverse the transaction or help retrieve the funds.
Tokens and Networks
Only USDC sent over the ERC20 network can be received by our payment gateway, Coinbase Commerce. USDC sent via other networks, or other tokens sent on the ERC20 network will be lost and we are not able to recover lost funds since we did not receive them in the first place.
Supported Assets and Unsupported Asset Recovery
When transferring funds to your Coinbase account or sending a crypto payment to a merchant through Coinbase Commerce, it is very important that you first confirm that you are sending your crypto to the correct address and network.
A network is the blockchain that hosts your digital assets. Ethereum is a network that hosts its native cryptocurrency ETH as well as all ERC-20 tokens (including USDC and DAI).
Transferring crypto to a wallet on a network that Coinbase does not currently support will result in your funds being lost and there will be no way to recover them.
I sent BEP20 tokens to a Coinbase Commerce Ethereum address. How do I recover those funds?
We will unfortunately be unable to recover BEP20 tokens sent to a Coinbase Ethereum address. BEP20 tokens have a similar address format as Ethereum and share the same properties of the ERC-20 standard, however, they are not the same.
BEP20 tokens are on a separate network called Binance Smart Chain, which Coinbase Commerce currently does not support.
