Firmware Does Not Match the Latest OTA

There have been some instances where hotspots are having trouble connecting to our device management platform, which is located in China and used to release OTA updates. If your miner is not connecting to this platform, it is not receiving any OTA updates and is stuck on an old firmware version. 

How to Fix It

We can fix this issue, but we need your help running diagnostics on your network settings. We need you to do the following: 

  1. Reset your router
  2. Check if your firewall is blocking specific IPs from China. One way to test this is to send a ping command from your computer to
  3. Check if there is any DNS block or contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) to see if there are any restrictions.

If your hotspot is still not running on the latest firmware, please fill out this form with all the requested info and using the correct format. We also ask that you follow these instructions to open port 22 and keep your miner plugged in. It is important that you complete step 6 in order to ensure your port 22 is open.

We will update the firmware in batches for anyone who has correctly submitted their information and opened the port as requested.
